Fancy some quick snacks and drinks? It's less than a minute to the Big Store. The best bars and restaurants in town are similarly a quick drive away.

Start your day in our charming beach cottage with coffee (or tea) on the front porch, then relax in the cozy living room with a 50" smart TV. Spend quality time with your loved ones playing any of our many board games, or cook up a feast in our fully-equipped kitchen. Our dining table seats six comfortably.

Head on downstairs for some games (cornhole and ladder toss are stored in the laundry room), swing chairs, and family time in the outdoor area. Relax on the sectional couch or on the swing chairs, throw some barbecue on the grill and enjoy your meal at the picnic table.

Step outside to walk to the beach, rent a golf cart down the street, or just explore this lovely beach town.

When you're ready to call it a day, take your much-needed rest in the main bedroom with a king bed, en-suite bathroom, and smart TV. Bedroom 2 offers a queen bed and a mounted TV. Bedroom 3 is a kids' haven with a twin over full bunk bed with a twin pull-out bed underneath. They can also enjoy a wall-mounted Connect Four and a mounted TV. Bathroom 2 is a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo.

Guests will have the entire property to themselves, with the exception of a locked closet between bedroom 1 and bathroom 2 for our supplies.

Feel free to contact us through the Airbnb app. We will respond in a prompt manner from 6 am to 10 pm. Outside those times, there may be a delay in our replies.

Crystal Beach sits in the center of the Bolivar Peninsula, a coastal community in Texas located just east of Galveston Island along the Gulf of Mexico. With its 27 miles of beautiful beaches, vibrant community, and numerous activities, Bolivar Peninsula is a popular destination for fishing, birding, beachcombing, and simply relaxing at the beach. There is something for everyone on the Bolivar Peninsula. Are you looking for a relaxing weekend or a vacation filled with family fun? Rent one of the many beach houses located here. Do you enjoy fishing? The North Jetty, about two miles from the ferry landing, is a renowned spot for catching fish. It is also a great place to go crabbing with the kids. And in spring and fall, you will have no problem catching your limit at Rollover Pass. Birdwatching is always a popular activity here because there are over 100 species of migratory birds such as egrets, heron, and roseatte spoonbills.

Crystal Beach is a very drivable beach town! You can even park and camp on the beach. Golf carts are also allowed on the beach.

To get to Crystal Beach from Houston:

Take I-45 South to Galveston. After you pass over the causeway, continue down Broadway until you reach the beach. Turn left on Ferry Road, and continue to the landing. It takes the free Galveston-Bolivar Ferry about 20 minutes to travel across the bay to Bolivar Peninsula.

Note: Ferry lines can be very long on summer and holiday weekends, in some cases in excess of one hour.

Alternate route from Houston (to avoid long ferry lines):

Take I-10 East to Winnie (exit# 828), then south on Highway 124 until you come to the beach road, Highway 87

To get to Crystal Beach from Beaumont:

Take I-10 West to Winnie, then south on Highway 124 until you come to the beach road, Highway 87.

Elevator:

We provide our elevator as a courtesy for guests who use a wheelchair or have bulky luggage or equipment. Our elevator is serviced regularly but please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Always have a working phone with you while in the elevator and do not allow children to operate the elevator without an adult (18+) present. Please do not use the elevator unless you have to.

Charcoal grill:

You are free to use the charcoal grill but you will need to purchase your own charcoal. (Luckily, The Big Store is less than a minute across the highway.) The grill is strictly for the use of guests booked at the property. Please clean the grill after use. If the grill requires extra cleaning on our part, we may charge an additional cleaning fee.

Parking:

You can park a maximum of 3 vehicles in the driveway. Do not try to fit your car under the house as the clearance is low.

Weather:

This home is located on the Bolivar Peninsula on the Texas Gulf Coast, which experiences various weather conditions from season to season. We do not offer refunds or discounts unless a named storm threatens the area and results in a recommended or mandatory evacuation order.

Important notes:

- Absolutely no smoking is allowed in the property.

- Quiet time is after 11:00PM. Feel free to continue to use the outdoor space but keep noise to a minimum out of respect for the neighbors. Please note that we currently do not have lights below the house.

- The property and all the amenities are strictly for the use of booked guests. No parties are allowed in the property.

- There is a $75 pet fee per stay. (Only one pet is allowed on the condition that they stay off the furniture.)
